Tom Stargaard an instructor at Del Oro High School in Loomis is using laser to allow students to customize their catapults by engraving designs into the wood base. Students build the Sierra College Tech-Explorer catapult as part of the Tech Essentials Freshman class.

STEM Career Exploration – Engineering for Girls
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011Engineer Your Life is a guide to engineering careers for high school girls. Women tell their stories about what attracted them to Engineering careers in Meet Inspiring Women. Making it Happen helps students develop their own education plan. There are also links for finding a job, parents, counselors, engineers and middle school girls (National Academy of Sciences Engineer Girl).
